I'm not quite sure what to make of this, but Variety reports that David Cronenberg is working with HBO to produce a series based on his 1988 film Dead Ringers. Cronenberg himself will apparently direct the pilot.

I can't wait for Cronenburg to put out that series. I dig his stuff even though it's a bit out there. There's this other guy Thomas Edward Seymour who put out this Film The Land of college Prophets.It reminded me of Cronenberg and Monty Python rolled into one, oh wait I guess that would be Terry Gilliam. Any one have a favorite between the two? They should make a series of The Land of College prophets. Maybe Cronenberg could direct it. It's like Sin City with more depth and more action.
