A strange press release has emerged from the even stranger Democratic People's Republic of Korea (more informally known as North Korea). News reports from its official KCNA news agency have announced a new "secure email service [that] guarantees the privacy of correspondence..." available free of charge via dial-up, in a country where many live in abject poverty and have no access to computers or similar resources. Additionally, it is surmised that any access to the Internet or other resources outside the DPRK would be heavily restricted and monitored, in keeping with the practice of isolationism for which the mysterious republic is infamous.
